Environmental requirements have played a major role in the design, since climate change is central to Vattenfall's operations. The new office building has lower energy consumption than EU's energy rating "green building" demands, including heat and electricity from solar and wind power.
Vattenfall is one of Europe’s leading energy companies and owns several power plants in countries such as Sweden, Germany, Poland, Finland and Estonia. Vattenfall supplies electricity and heat to several million customers in the Nordic countries and northern Europe.
Vattenfall’s main office is located just north of Stockholm and consists of four linked houses that are 8 to 14 stories tall. Environmental requirements have played a major role in the design, since climate change is central to Vattenfall’s operations. The new office building has lower energy consumption than EU’s energy rating “green building” demands, including heat and electricity from solar and wind power.
For Vattenfall headquarters Offecct has delivered Minima armchair and Lite chairs among other products.
