Tele2 Arena

One of the world’s most modern multipurpose arenas is characterized by light, open spaces, with simple, robust materials. The arena brings together chairs, easy chairs and sofas in colors from purple to blue.

The Tele2 Arena opened in Johanneshov, southern Stockholm, in 2013. It is a sports and event arena with 600 digital monitors, sliding roof and a transparent façade, making it one of the most modern multipurpose arenas in the world. Architects White Arkitekter and British consultancy firm Arup are responsible for the Tele2 Arena’s oval design. For the transparent façade, designed to allow visitors to view their surroundings through the glass sections and metal cladding, White Arkitekter won the 2013 “Metal Prize”.

The arena interior features light, open spaces in the Scandinavian design tradition, with simple, robust materials. The interior design contractor for the project was Input Interiör, one of Scandinavia’s leading interior design companies.

The VIP lounge is filled with Minima sofas and easy chairs designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune in a delightful purple color, and pride of place on the terrace is taken by King sofas and easy chairs by Thomas Sandell.

The rest of the arena features various areas with Oyster easy chairs by Michael Sodeau, Spoon Low easy chairs by Monica Förster, and Lite chairs by Broberg & Ridderstråle.
