Acoustic room divider and fantasy in Offecct Lab 2018
We always want to challenge ourselves. To have an outlet for our inquisitiveness. To push the boundaries in terms of design, technology and sustainable solutions. And above all – to never get stuck in routines and the same old rut. This is why we have created Offecct Lab.
One thing is certain; It is possible to own design and function, but the material can only be borrowed from nature. We must all think once again and reuse. Our collection Offecct Lab is a dynamic forum where we and our business partners experiment and test new solutions, materials and ideas.

In Offecct Lab 2018 we will present Soundsticks, an acoustic room divided which exemplify Offecct’s commitment to responsible design, and Interface, a furniture with several possibilities.
The structure consists of paperboard tubes − leftovers from upholstery fabric rolls – which are wrapped in sound-absorbing acoustic felt made of reclaimed textile scraps.

Over the sound-absorbing acoustic felt, Soundstick is upholstered in fabric, left over from our furniture production. From every cutting we do at fabric, there is about 28-32 centimeters left over, which is the perfect size needed to produce a Soundstick.
Each stick consists of upcycled material left over from Offecct’s furniture production. This makes Soundsticks an exceptionally sustainable and “wasteless” product. Soundsticks is a project developed within our philosophy Lifecircle. The project will continue to develop during 2018. Stay tuned!
