Studio Irvine

Studio Irvine is instilled with a vision in constant evolution, rooted in the classics of the Italian design school but with a broader international outlook.

Studio Irvine is a design studio based in Milan, run by architect Marialaura Rossiello Irvine. Studio Irvine was founded in 1988 by British designer James Irvine (1958-2013), who’s extensive work over the years undoubtedly and greatly contributed to a more clear-sighted approach to design as an industry and profession. Based on the idea of design inspired by attention to ethics, the ‘human factor’ and personal interaction (from clients to technicians, workers and consumers), today Studio Irvine is instilled with a vision in constant evolution, rooted in the classics of the Italian design school but with a broader international outlook. Studio Irvine’s work is distinctively cross-disciplinary with a great curiosity towards all types and scales of design projects, with clients such as Muji, Matteo Brioni and Phaidon. Today, the thirty-year history of the studio evolved into a new phase, in which the three key words are precision, irony and generosity. Precision in design, irony in communication, generosity in  art directorships. Studio Irvine, now as in the past, is always ready to take up new challenges. James Irvine was the designer who took Offecct to Milan in year 2002 and he has meant a lot to the international efforts and successes of Offecct.
